1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GuessTheRank website (guesstherank.org), the Guess The Rank iOS and Android apps, and our Discord bot (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page and become effective when posted. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Guess The Rank lets users:

• • Watch gameplay clips and guess the player's in-game rank or ELO across 15+ games.
• • Play solo (classic and survival modes), ranked 1v1 with MMR-based matchmaking, party rooms with up to 20 players, and live streamer-vs-chat events.
• • Track XP, level progression, daily and weekly quests, current and longest play streaks, and leaderboards.
• • Submit gameplay clips for community use (subject to review).
• • Subscribe to "GTR Pro" for premium features.
• • Play directly in Discord servers via our bot.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Eligibility & Account Creation

• • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country — e.g. 16 in parts of the EU).
• • You must provide accurate information.
• • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• • You may not share your account or maintain multiple accounts.

3.2 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time:

• • Mobile app: open the menu (top-right) → Delete Account.
• • Web: Settings page → Delete Account, or by emailing contact@guesstherank.org.

Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data within 30 days, subject to limited legal retention obligations. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store, Google Play, or Stripe subscription — you must cancel separately (see §6).

3.3 Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, including fraud, harassment, spam, cheating, manipulation of scores or matchmaking, or any illegal activity.

4. User Content

4.1 License You Grant

By submitting content (clips, display names, room names, profile content, etc.) you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

• • You represent that you own or have the rights to submit the content.
• • Your content may be visible to other users.
• • We may remove content at any time at our discretion.

4.2 Clip Submissions

• • Clips must be YouTube videos that you have the right to share.
• • You must provide accurate rank/ELO information.
• • Clips are subject to admin review and may be approved or rejected.

4.3 Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

• • Is illegal, threatening, abusive, or harassing.
• • Infringes intellectual property rights.
• • Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code.
• • Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or promotes self-harm.
• • Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination.
• • Discloses personal information of others without consent.
• • Is spam, misleading, or contains intentionally incorrect rank information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• • Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems without permission.
• • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.
• • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• • Collect personal information of other users.
• • Reverse engineer or extract source code, except where permitted by law.
• • Manipulate scores, MMR, leaderboards, ranked matchmaking, or quests.
• • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.

6. Pro Subscription

6.1 What's Included

"GTR Pro" is an auto-renewing premium subscription that unlocks features such as no ads, an XP multiplier, an extra life in survival mode, an animated profile border, larger party rooms, unlimited live event viewers, streak protection, priority clip review, and clip analytics.

6.2 Web Subscriptions (Stripe)

• • Web payments are processed by Stripe.
• • Subscriptions auto-renew at the start of each billing period until canceled.
• • You can cancel any time in Profile → Manage Subscription, or via the Stripe billing portal.
• • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not refund partial periods.

6.3 iOS Subscriptions (Apple)

• • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• • Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• • You can manage and cancel your subscription in your iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
• • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• • Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy.

6.4 Android Subscriptions (Google Play)

• • Payment is charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• • You can manage and cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store → Subscriptions.
• • Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy.

6.5 Apple End User License Agreement

If you download the iOS app from the App Store, you acknowledge and agree to Apple's standard End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

7. Discord Bot

The Guess The Rank Discord bot is part of the Service. By installing or using the bot, you and your Discord server agree to:

• • Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• • Not use the bot for spam, abuse, or to circumvent Discord's rate limits.
• • Allow the bot to read commands directed at it and create temporary game channels as needed.

We may update, restrict, or remove the bot at any time. Server admins can remove the bot at any time via Discord's server settings.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

All Service content (excluding user-submitted content) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Third-Party Content

Game names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We do not claim ownership of any third-party intellectual property. YouTube videos remain the property of their respective creators.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GuessTheRank, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

12. Copyright & DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to contact@guesstherank.org including:

• • A description of the copyrighted work.
• • The URL or location of the infringing content.
• • Your contact information.
• • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
• • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act.
• • Your physical or electronic signature.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us at contact@guesstherank.org.

13.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.

13.3 Venue

Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Germany, except where a different forum is mandated by your local consumer protection law.

14. General Provisions

• • Entire Agreement: these Terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us.
• • Severability: if any provision is invalid, the rest remain in effect.
• • Waiver: our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
• • Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction.
