1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using GuessTheRank ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

GuessTheRank is an online platform that allows users to:

• • Watch gameplay clips from various competitive video games and guess player skill ranks
• • Play in different game modes: Solo, Ranked (competitive 1v1), Rooms (multiplayer with friends), and Live Events (streamer vs chat)
• • Track performance statistics and climb leaderboards
• • Submit gameplay clips for others to guess
• • Create and join multiplayer rooms to play with friends
• • Host or participate in live events as a content creator or viewer
• • View chess games and guess player ELO ratings

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• • You must provide accurate and complete information
• • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• • You may not share your account with others
• • One person may not maintain multiple accounts

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms, including but not limited to: fraud, harassment, spam, or any illegal activities.

4. User Content

4.1 Content Submission

By submitting content (clips, display names, room names, etc.) to GuessTheRank, you:

• • Grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content
• • Represent that you own or have the rights to submit the content
• • Acknowledge that your content may be viewed by other users
• • Agree that we may remove your content at any time for any reason

4.2 Clip Submissions

When submitting gameplay clips:

• • Clips must be YouTube videos that you have rights to share
• • You must provide accurate rank/rating information
• • Clips are subject to review and may be approved or rejected
• • We reserve the right to remove clips that violate our guidelines

4.3 Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

• • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• • Infringes on intellectual property rights
• • Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
• • Is sexually explicit or pornographic
• • Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
• • Contains personal information of others without consent
• • Is spam, misleading, or contains intentionally incorrect rank information

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• • Collect personal information of other users
• • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• • Manipulate scores, statistics, or gameplay in any way

6. Pro Subscription

6.1 Subscription Service

GuessTheRank offers a premium subscription service ("Pro") that provides enhanced features including increased room player limits, unlimited live event viewers, animated profile borders, XP multipliers, streak protection, and priority clip review. Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis.

6.2 Billing and Payment

• • All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
• • By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• • Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period
• • All fees are quoted in the currency displayed at checkout and are non-refundable except as required by law
• • You are responsible for providing accurate and complete payment information

6.3 Cancellation and Refunds

• • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or Stripe billing portal
• • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• • You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period
• • We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods
• • We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

6.4 Free Trial

We may offer free trial periods for Pro subscriptions. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Trial eligibility is limited to one per user.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

All content, features, and functionality of GuessTheRank (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Third-Party Content

Game names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We do not claim ownership of any third-party intellectual property. YouTube videos are embedded from YouTube and remain the property of their respective creators.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of content
• • Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your requirements or that it will be available at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• • Service interruptions or errors
• • User content or conduct

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GuessTheRank, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

12. Dispute Resolution
